PRP Facial & Injections

Reduce Scars, Stretch Marks, Wrinkles, Fine Lines For a Natural Look

The key to smooth, firm, and radiant skin is proper collagen production. Whether it’s fine lines and wrinkles, stretch marks, or scars, an increased collagen production can give you a natural, lasting improvement.

WHAT IS A PRP “VAMPIRE” FACIAL?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a form of skin rejuvenation therapy in which your body’s own natural healing response is used to create new collagen and elastin in your skin. It involves injecting the patient’s own platelets and growth factors from their blood to restore hair loss, improve texture of the skin (fine lines, wrinkles, acne, acne scars, stretch marks, trauma scars, tired & dull skin), and promote collagen growth for lifting! The end result is a smooth, radiant, firm, and glowing skin!

HOW IS THE PROCEDURE DONE?

The procedure starts with the application of a numbing cream to provide you with a pain-free experience. Next, your blood is drawn, spun down to separate the layers of your blood, and we extract the layer that is rich in platelets (the healing properties in your blood). The PRP is applied to the treatment area and the micropen is passed over the area several times. This creates controlled micro-injuries to the skin to embed the PRP and trigger the skin’s repair process, naturally producing collagen and elastin, resulting in an improvement in the appearance wrinkles and fine lines. For hair restoration, PRP can be injected with a small needle instead of a micropen, to the site of hair loss to stimulate growth.

WHAT DO STUDIES SHOW?

Microneedling alone produced a 200% increase in new collagen, while microneedling with PRP produced 2000% increase in new collagen. Numerous scientific research shows PRP’s efficacy in increasing hair count, hair thickness, and a prolonged growth phase of the hair cycle.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT AREAS OF MY BODY CAN I TREAT?

PRP can be used on all parts of the body: face, neck, arms, hands, legs, abdomen, and back. It works wonderfully for all types of acne scars, whether it be ice-pick, rolling, or boxcar!  PRP is often also used on face and neck for lifting, on head for hair growth, on legs and abdomen for stretch marks, and anywhere on the body for reducing scars.

HOW OFTEN DO I NEED THIS TREATMENT?

Some patients only require a single treatment, once per year to achieve optimal results. However, for most patients, it is recommended to receive a series of 3-4 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart. For patients with deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks or acne scars, additional sessions may be required.

WHAT TO EXPECT POST-PROCEDURE?

As PRP involves using your own blood, your body will not have any major side effects to PRP. However, immediately after the treatment, you may notice a slight redness to the face which may last up to 3 days depending on the skin type and color. Also, mild flaking of the skin may occur for the next 3 days. Patients notice an immediate “glow” to their skin within days after the procedure. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several days and weeks. Results continue to improve up to 6 months after the treatment as collagen production continues. You will be instructed to avoid exercise, saunas, sun exposure and hot tubs for 48 hours.
