Neurotransmitter Panel

The Neurotransmitters panel measures levels of the most common neurotransmitters and metabolites in the brain and nervous system. Neurotransmitters are chemical messengers that facilitate the transmission of signals from one neuron (i.e. brain cell) to another target cell.

Are you suffering from anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue, impulsivity, insomnia, PMS, or other mood disorders? If so, you may be one of the 56% of Americans who have suboptimal neurotransmitter levels. Neurotransmitters are chemical messengers that facilitate the signaling of one nerve to another. Neurotransmitters influence and regulate your mental performance, emotions, pain response, energy levels, and hormone production. Poor adrenal hormones and sex hormones in particular may lead to an imbalance in neurotransmitters, which can in turn cause further hormone imbalance. Testing a combination of both hormone and neurotransmitter panels would provide the most comprehensive clinical assessment.
